If you’re planning to launch, expand, or diversify your business, access to the right industrial space can make or break your strategy. Malta Enterprise’s Rent Subsidy Scheme is designed exactly for that — to help businesses secure the space they need to grow, without being weighed down by high rental costs.

Under this scheme, eligible businesses can benefit from up to 50% of rental costs (capped at €50,000 per year) for the first three years of a new rental agreement — with total aid reaching €150,000 over a rolling 3-year period.
It’s open to manufacturing, artisanal, industrial packaging, machinery and electrical repair, and vehicle maintenance activities — including logistics and warehousing directly linked to these sectors.
Startups in their first three years of operation, or existing companies expanding operations, relocating, or needing extra space to diversify, are all encouraged to apply. Temporary support is even available for short-term storage facilities to manage supply chain fluctuations.
💡 But here’s the key point: grants shouldn’t be an afterthought.
They should be part of your strategic business planning — whether you’re launching a new venture, expanding a production line, or securing a logistics base. The businesses that integrate funding tools like this early on don’t just save costs — they accelerate growth and build resilience in a competitive market. And it's not just for the rent. It can cover other operational costs like wages and investment in equipment.
At Business Diagnostic, we help companies plan their expansion strategically around Malta’s funding ecosystem — aligning your investments, timelines, and operational goals with available incentives like the Rent Subsidy Scheme.
📈 If you’re planning a business expansion, relocation, or new setup, we can help you evaluate eligibility, structure your application, and position your project for maximum funding impact.
👉 Let’s make sure your growth plan is funding-ready — not funding-dependent.Reach out to Business Diagnostic to discuss how this scheme (and others like it) can strengthen your next move.
